The Medium Affects Learning
As Marshall McLuhan famously said - the medium
is the message. The medium of learning has a dramatic
effect on its efficacy.
Long back before writing, all teaching occurred
through a teacher instructing pupils verbally. This
evolved to using books and written material in a
lecture format in medieval times. Even today, this
remains the predominant method of instruction.
Tablets bring alive formely esoteric topics and
learners can interact with and experience scientific
phenomenon quickly and safely in a virtual reality
provided by these devices.

... “Making learning fun is the agenda of education start-up Maza Learn, co-founded by Sridhar Sundaram. It is among the few start-ups in India to use gamification - the concept of using computer or mobile games - to teach schoolchildren subjects such as science and mathematics, while measuring their performance and improving their understanding of the subject.”...
Amazing story of Xooglers making a big impact in India
... “The opportunities India presents are also drawing these engineers to start enterprises that can help solve local problems - and give back to society. So, making learning fun is the agenda of education start-up Maza Learn, co-founded by Sridhar Sundaram.”...
Physics Studio by Sridhar Sundaram
... “What sets this app apart from the pack is that topics like Waves, Electricity, Energy, Electromagnetism can be explored through the simulations set in the app. This was the inspiration and impetus in creating Physics Studio...The topics are comprehensive, and this app is a labor of love from the developers to share the underlying concepts of a physics curriculum with all.”
Physics Studio Launch
... “In today's world, learning is not about ‘finding’ but about ‘minding’.
